CM sponsor Lucy Rice for Charity Boxing Match
Thriller in the Villa is an annual event run by local volunteers since 2015, that invites anyone and everyone to take on the challenge of stepping into the boxing ring to raise funds for their chosen charity in the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall.
One of our staff, Lucy Rice, took part in the event which involved 12 weeks of gruelling training, to raise money for Isle Listen, a charity CM has also supported this year for Mental Health Awareness Week.
Isle Listen is a charitable initiative providing mental health support in schools, and one-to-one therapeutic support for young people up to the age of 25 on the Isle of Man. Which is done completely free of charge. CM chipped in with £300 to help Lucy with her fundraising attempt.
Despite all the dedication and commitment to her training for the event, unfortunately due to the injury of her opponent Lucy wasn’t able to compete on the night. More importantly however, Lucy managed to surpass her goal of raising £500, as she has currently raised £605.
