In support of the Food Bank, Ida took on a 3.5-hour round trip to the summit of North Barrule in very rainy and dark conditions.
The walk to the island’s second highest peak would normally provide plenty of opportunity for star gazing as the hikers’ reward for the 1,300ft ascent over moorland paths. This time, Ida had a more charitable motive in mind as she took on the challenge to raise funds and awareness for the local foodbank.
