Jane Howland, of The Children’s Centre, and Abbey Yates, CM Partners (“CMP”)

CMP continues to donate the proceeds collected from Dress Down Days to local charities, with the latest recipient being The Children’s Centre.

The Children’s Centre is a local charity that supports children, young people, and families when they are faced with challenges in their lives. The charity provide a safe, compassionate, and therapeutic environment and help to build foundations to re-frame these difficult experiences to grow and develop for a brighter future. The charity deliver one to one support to children and young people struggling with behavioral, learning, or emotional well being issues

Jane noted that our donation will be useful in undertaking remedial works on the infamous “Hobbit House” to make the chimney safer and make it in general a more usable space in taking children away from their everyday challenges to spend time in a magical space talking and toasting marshmallows. Jane also noted that this donation will ensure the Hobbit House is ready for the annual Letter to Santa event in December, where the island’s children are invited to come write & post their letter at the Santa Express box situated in the Hobbit House.

Jane was thrilled to accept the donation of £500 on behalf of the charity confirming that it would be put towards not only assisting in refurbishing the Hobbit House but also as a contribution towards assisting in providing their vital support services to individuals and their families who require their services.
