This month we meet Amber who is in her 2nd year of training with CM Partners;
How long have you been with CM?
I started in October 2020 so almost 2.5 years.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy the variety of clients I get to work on as well as different tasks such as producing accounts, VAT returns, performing CSP work – I get exposure to all different areas of accountancy.
What do you believe to be the most important qualities you need in your role?
Good organisational skills, good time management, attention to detail.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in accountancy and fiduciary services?
Be aware of the commitment you need to put into becoming qualified – there are a lot of exams you need to pass over several years and you need to put the work in.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy in your spare time?
I am a big CrossFit enthusiast and train 6 days a week as well as competing in competitions. The most recent competition was in Miami at one of the biggest CrossFit events in the world, which was an amazing experience!
Can you share one thing that we probably don’t know about you?
I can solve a Rubik’s cube in under 2 minutes!
