CM Trust is a fiduciary service provider licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, offering trust and company services to clients globally.
Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious ACCA Trainee Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on experience across accountancy, tax, audit, and trust and company administration, while working towards a globally recognised professional qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Accountancy
- Bookkeeping including inputting client records
- Preparation of accounting schedules and accounts files.
- Preparation of Financial Statements.
- Preparation of investment schedules.
- Preparation of management information and reporting.
Taxation
- Preparation of personal tax computations and returns
- Preparation of corporate tax computations and returns.
- Preparation of VAT computations and returns.
Audit
- Preparation of audit schedules, programs and files
- Assisting an audit team at a client’s premises or from the office as required
Trust and Company Administration
- All aspects of trust and company administration which will include direct contact with clients.
- Liaison with third party institutions such as banks, brokers and rental agents.
Other Responsibilities
- Always representing CM with a professional image and manner.
- Filing and general office duties as required.
- Assisting the Managers and Partners as required.
- Provision of cover for other members of staff
Minimum Education and Experience
- A graduate with a 2.1 degree or higher
- No prior experience is necessary as on the job training will be provided in all aspects of the role.

- Ambitious and determined to study hard to complete the challenging professional qualification whilst managing full time employment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Professional, confident, and discreet approach
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
You will join one of our accountancy teams and report directly to a manager or a more senior trainee/administrator.
Training & Development
- Full support towards the ACCA qualification
- Study leave for day release courses at Nxt-Lvl Training
- Course and exam fees covered for first attempts
- Hands-on experience across multiple service lines

Salary
A competitive trainee salary will be offered.
Contract Hours
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm
Friday 9am to 2pm
